I am a NOTE series user because they offered the largest screens, and that amazing S Pen.

The Z Fold4 is a galactic upgrade from my Note 9.

Cons:
No power supply! Why?
No S Pen! Why?
Larger battery! Come on now. 10,000 or 20,000 mAh make the phone a little thicker each half and drop a 5K or 10K mAh battery in each half.
Price.
I am afraid to fully fold this.
Main screen attracts fine dust like a magnet.
No 3.5 headphone jack! Not everyone wants to use wireless.

Pros:
This gorgeous main screen! It is about time we see phones with screens we can enjoy. Make a 7 inch tablet phone no need to fold, I am all in.
Fast! Enter the Dragon!
Lightweight! This is not heavy at all. I used to carry a 17lb homemade boombox around.
Feels really nice to the touch.
The screen protector of the main screen feels slick and smooth.
The buttons on this are in the perfect location for me.
Even folded this is still thin. I still own an AM pocket transistor radio from the 1960's. That weighs more and is another phone layer thicker.
It is amazing to see games and video on this device.
The sound quality is fantastic.
Call quality is excellent.
The cameras compared to Note 9 blow those away.
5G is the Meliniam Falcon at lightspeed.

Am I happy with the Z Fold4? Ohhhh Yeah!

Suggestions to Samsung:
Case that pieces 360 degrees in the open position.
A mount to hold this in a Ram Mounts mount B size arm.

I would recommend this for big screen lovers. 1st day with it.

Been in love with the larger main screen!

I was iffy about getting the flip 5 because of the screen folding. I thought it would be an issue as far as clarity of a full screen goes. I was definitely wrong. The screen is completely clear. I also love how it is small and compact. The front screen is a huge plus. You can add apps to the cover screen and use them just how you would when you flip it open. Using the cover screen saves battery life which anyone who is out for long periods of time and don't like to lug around a charger the cover screen will come in handy when it comes to battery life. Pictures have never been easier. If you take pics by yourself with voice commands there is no need for a separate purchase for a tripod to hold the phone. Flip it half way, set it down and you're good to snap away. The camera is awesome. The speaker is loud and clear. Ther is a cool option where you can flip the screen half way and the phone acts like a laptop where you can operate a mouse pointer with your finger. Finger print and face recognition works flawlessly. Quick and responsive in every way. I am a 100% satisfied with my purchase and can't wait to see the next generation of the flip series.

Perfect for business

I've been debating getting a fold since the first generation. I've put it off because I honestly felt it was way overpriced and fragile. I couldn't have been more wrong. It's a solid device. It feels sturdy. It's fast, and incredibly easy to use. The aspect ratio took some getting used to, but I prefer it more over a standard phone now. If you're like me, a gamer, avid TV watcher and a reader, this phone won't lead you wrong.

Z fold 4 is the best.

This is perfect I can do so many things all at once. It is easy to use and get the hang of. The small screen is large enough for more tasks and the full screen is great for videos and multiple tasks

Love this phone

I pre-purchased this phone with much apprehension. Now I am wondering why all phones haven't converted to a similar platform. The phone is user friendly and responds quickly. Set up was easy and it communicates with my Galaxy Watch. This phone is a no brainer!!

Outstanding Features!

I bought my Fold4 for the same reason anyone does. I want to this folding screen. I've seen older versions and was disappointed by the obvious fold and division of the screens into two. To my elation, on the Fold4, unfolding the phone is like seeing a magician for the first time. The screen unfold and is seemless. The OS operates fantastic keeping menus on one side and the open programs on the other. Windowed apps are smooth and easy too operate. Expanding apps to full screen show no fold or dimness. I love it.

Fold your screen and amaze your friends

This phone is a game changer. Especially if you are someone who likes to multitask, this phone is it. It's also great for looking at pictures, watching videos, and even looking at menus for restaurants. Once you have had this phone, you'll never go back. Extremely intuitive and easy to use.

Mini system

I love this device. From the look to the performance, it stands alone. I bought the S Pen, it has made the experience even better. If I use the phone closed or open, I enjoy every second of it. The bigger screen is such an awesome experience; the apps bar on the bottom allows me to multi-task seamlessly by being able to select apps or drag and drop apps on the available split screen slots. The large 12 GB of RAM Memory and large internal storages is nice, also. The device is worth the asking price. It is everything that I expected.

Love everything about the phone

I am very happy with my new handset. I love the spread out feature when I can see everything on a wider screen. I love watching movies and love the big screen. Wow the picture quality is impressive. I took some pictures and videos recently, such good quality.

Samsung Galaxy Z Best

I had the Z flip 3 5G and I loved that phone except for the battery life so I upgraded and got the Z fold 4 and I freaking love this phone when more. Better battery life and bigger screen. It rocks!

Love it

Got this on pre-order and I'm so glad I did! Terrific pre-order deal ($900 trade in and $200 Samsung instant credit + the crappy Samsung pen case and S Pen). It's my first fold and I love it. The screen is huge for videos and games.

Worth every penny!

I use my fold 4 to live stream, watch movies. And do research and homework for classes at work. I love the flex screen and the big screen

Great features and easy to use

Purchased a month ago and works great for me. Much easier to see because of larger screen. Just wish all apps were screen size capable

Zfold 4

I picked up the Fold 4 at Bestbuys in September 2022 and the phone met mso of my expectation. I came from the S22 Ultra.

Pro:

Software on the phone are excellent. I used Good Locks and Good Gardian. It allowed me to do many customize on the phone.

Updated to UI 5 with no problem.

Loved the big inside screen.

No problem with the phone after 3 months of usage.

Setup T-Mobile eSIM with no problem. Currently, use A&TT SIM and T-Mobile eSIM on the phone with no problem.

Con (Suggestion):

Make outer screen larger (Like the Vivo Fold). This will help utilized the outer screen more.

Battery could be better comingdromtheS22 Ultra.

Great phone with excellent software

I bought this phone at release and it has worked perfectly. I can't imagine going back to a candy bar phone again. I love the larger screen.

I got it when it ce out. It is amazing. Takes great pictures. Awesome to watch movies and videos on the large screen.

I am just mind blown about the experience of the Fold 4! Not only does it have an amazing screen on the front that is ever so usable. Then you up the experience folding out that beautiful Oled screen and the multi tasking is phenomenal 3 apps open at once and it is a production machine with the ram and Snapdragon processor!!! Wanna add gaming to your lifestyle? This is the ultimate mobile gaming phone!!! Big screen big battery 120hz what more can you ask for? (240hz please on the Fold 5)

Best Phone Experience Ever!!!

I've had for 8 weeks now. Switch from the note 20.
The cons: it is a large heavy phone. Most dash holders will not.support weight in my experience. The closed phone screen is still too small. It's hard to take selfies with phone opened. Many apps, have to be resized 4:3 as they view the opened phone as a webpage. Some would not work at all until i used the closed phone screen. There is no stoage for S-pen. The speakers are not as loud for calls or movies as it could or should be. For some, could be very large to hold and use.

Pros: The night camera is great. Crystal clear shots. Zoom is surprisingly very good. Its not the 100x as S22, but well suited. Great for watching movies or games. Barely even notice the fold in the screen when watching movies or using. Its so easy to get use to open and closing the phone.

Overall: its a great move towards the phablet. I highly recommend Samsung make the closed phone screen the size of the S22 u or ultra. I would gladly have a larger phone that would have that with the S.Pen storage included. The Fold 5 should have an ultra size to include these larger sizes.

Great improvements. But needs more

I have the Samsung galaxy fold 3 and purchased the fold 4. I only got a $800 trade in for what feels and looks like the same device. The weight feels a little lighter and that's nice. The battery is the same and this is a big no no... the battery was the biggest problem with the fold 3 it would never last you through a whole day. They did improve the chip on the 4 and hopefully this will increase the battery life definitely a plus. They also upgraded the cameras a must needed plus. Overall I'm between a 3 stare rating and 4 stare. I honestly believe that they should have increased the size and added a bigger battery 🔋 😒.

This looks and feels the same

At first I wasn't so sure about it. It's a little bit bulky and heavy. But the more I used it the more I loved it. I love the narrow screen in the front. I can actually reach all the way across with my thumb. When you unfold it the inside screen is amazing. I love being able to work on Excel spreadsheets and viewing full page websites. Also content consuming is great. The only thing I wish was different was a better camera set.

Awesome productivity tool

I bought the phone 5 months . Its pretty great to use albeit a little heavy. One big con is how the big screen is very fragile. Developed the black line of death recently. Good thing is warranty covered even though the team first declined to repair owing to a cosmetic damage to the screen. They came around and offered to fix it for me. So happy with that.

Great features, fragile screen

I bought this about a month ago and traded in my Samsung Galaxy note 20. I've been a note fan for 10 years and was excited to try the zfold 4 out. I was disappointed with the spen and not able to use my old spen pro. The front screen is also way too tiny to use for anything besides seeing notifications. Fingers are way too big. The fold screen is cool though abd it's cool. It's such a heavy phone though. I also dislike that the spen does not work on main front screen. It's very fast and processes everything quickly.

Different, great size a little bulky

I love everything about my fold 4! The screen is breathtaking. Camera takes amazing pictures/videos. Multitasking is a breeze on the fold. The only drawback is the weight.

Multi task much ?

Pros: The folding screen is gorgeous. Sorry, maybe I expected a folding screen to possibly have a crease to some extent. Barely noticeable unless looking for it.

The sound is amazing on this device.

Lightweight! Much less weight even with a case than I was expecting. From reviews of how heavy this phone is I was thinking how do people lift their arms?

Cons:
The smaller screen has little protection even in a case. I have the official Samsung slim case and the protector piece falls off when I sneeze.

Zero protection for the front screen.
This took a star away from my review. May deserve 2 stars gone from 5.

The battery. Fair life, but really at this price point I expect battery or batteries that have 10,000mAh.

From what I read the defending screen will shatter at the fold without it being the users fault.
Heads up to owners of this phone: Do not get scratches or even nicks on that front screen.

The piece of glass used is about as thin as fiber optic cable so it can flex as it does. So any damage to the surface is much more severe to it than for non folding phones.

Zero protection for the camera glass. Is it so difficult to provide?

No charger! Absolutely no excuses for this. Just flat out lazy and cheap.

No 3.5mm jack! Come off it stop being so cheap. Not everyone wants to be forced to use Bluetooth for everything. Or choose between charging and listening to music if you use USB C to 3.5mm jack.

Suggestions:
Look back to how devices were made in the 1960's, 70's, 80's.

My AM transistor radio from the 1960's weighs is thicker than this folded and weighs more. No one whined about how their limp wrists would explode from holding it. Or how it pulled pants off.

I would stop listening to those cry babies that complain about how heavy this is VS non-folding phones. It is in a class of its own. Like a Dragon is VS a gecko.

Make this big enough to fit Ram Mounts small tablet holders. This would also allow other brands to hold onto this. Make it tablet sized, even not folding would work.

Beef up the battery to 10,000mAh for a device this price. Stop with the whipping out. Be the Dragon not a snake.

Provide built in screen protection as in a 10 mm lip around the edge of the screens.

Allow cases to provide even more protection around all screens.

Design the frame thicker to allow this type of protection.

The case with pen and kick stand slim design by Samsung.
The Samsung Slim Case with stand and pen huge rip-off at $90 It should retail for $30.
The thin edge strip just falls off. Will get stuck in my mount. I don't think if I drop this onto a feather bed it would stay on to I guess protect the edge and front smaller screen a tiny bit.

Why have a SPen and Super Spen? At this price point it should come with a built in place for a Super Spen. Stop being so cheap Samsung. People LOVED the Note Series for the Pen and bigger screens, a little more under the hood. Carry on the legendary design here in your Z Fold Series. Stop being such a tryhard and bring the best for your Premium Flagships. Make them appealing because they bring your A game. Not minor league by leaving out features.but

My other phones I got original Samsung cases for minus the Note 9 and they rocked. This thing not so much.

I used VHB tape to adhere the pen to the case in-between the kickstand and camers.

Add speakers to all four sides. Left, right top and bottom. Stereo in all directions.

Outside of that I do enjoy the phone, and overall experience. It just feels for this proce point Samsung would rock this format like no other. It is pretty amazing almost awesome.

Not recommended for limp wrists. My Note 9 in the Defender Pro Case by Otterbox weighed a massive 10.1 ounces. My AM transistor radio made in the 1960's weighs 12.3 ounces with a brick sized 9 volt battery in it. The AM/FM transistor radio I got in the 1980 by Sony weighs 16.7 ounces with 4 AA batteries loaded in it.

The boombox I made back in the 1980's weighed over 17 pounds with 8 D size batteries in it.

How do able bodied people even lift their arms, or wear shoes or clothing that has any weight to it?

Back in the day no one ever complained about portable pocket devices weighing so much as to rip their pants off or pull them down. I know we didn't know any better. Nah, we did we just didn't mind because the technology and or devices we used were so much fun to use we never thought of these little nit picky things. We also used something called a belt. Had pants that fit to our waist.

Heck kids today lug around backpacks that weigh 20 to 50 pounds for school. Some even use wheeled luggage style packs to take the load off.

So how to fix the lack of protection:

Design cases that have a lip that sticks out or up10mm all around each area with glass camera covers to screens. For screens have the lips offset from directly aligning with the bezels of these folding phones. They are wider around the edges to provide extra bumper padding. Make it so the rail thin case edge is hinged into the other side.

Maybe make a strap that connects to the case and the wrist like many transistor radios did. Way before Wii remotes ever came along.

I marvel at the fact I am bending glass. Thin or otherwise. It is pretty amazing.
For what you get it is pretty sweet. It could be better Samsung.

Recently upgraded from Note 9.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is an absolute powerhouse of a device! I can literally do anything with this one device I can do with a desktop pc and a traditional smart phone plus more! This phone is my computer in my pocket. When I’m home wireless DEX connects seamlessly with my smart m5 monitor and keyboard to create a desktop class experience I’d say is on par with chrome os desktop or better. I’m currently typing this review up on my fold 4 in office and it’s very easy to use! Watching videos consuming any type of media on this device is always a pleasure (I watch a lot of pod casts). The dual speakers are very loud and high quality! Listening to music on this device is enjoyable and blows most other phones out the water with the quality and volume! I use Spotify its even better with the new buds 2 pro those earbuds are fire! The multitasking on this super phone is insane you can literally do three things at once. This has been a staple for most Samsung devices for years now I remember having these features on my note 3 back in the day but today they have refined all these features and they work perfectly. This phone is a beast it’s water proof feels like a well dressed tank very premium as expected for the price. For the price this device replaced 3 stand alone devices for me and it does much more I have no complaints other than one minor thing the battery life could be improved. While in my opinion is not bad but I’m on this phone all the time ALL DAY! Since I use it for work and personal use so it’s actually ok if you’re only using it for personal. To be honest the super fast charging makes this small issue disappear since USB-C super fast chargers are the standard today. I have an after market super fast charger for the car and the 25W Samsung one for home. Literally charges up from zero to one hundred in like 55min super slick! Also has wireless quick charge and reverse wireless charging to top up your buddy’s phone or your earbuds etc. The camera on this phone is also very good I’d compare it to the s22 series or better so it’s definitely a good camera phone. Has all the slow-mos pro mode and much more I can’t even touch on in this review. All in all if your looking for a manageable forum factor that can transform into a tablet in milliseconds, a super fast pocket computer with 12GB RAM and base store starting at 256GB( I got the 512GB) up to 1TB, A personal vault you can store all your high quality pictures and videos in plus have extra storage for years to come! Your office at your fingertips A multimedia machine THIS IS IT! LOOK NO FURTHER! Samsung has an exceptional product in there line up and this Z FOLD4 is it! Highly recommended! As someone who’s owned a Galaxy since day one I can tell you this is it! This is the ultimate media machine!

Ultimate Device!

This is a good cellphone overall.
PROS
* Two screens with good size both.
* Performance is good as expected for a premium Samsung phone.
* Sound and camera are good enough.
* Tablet interface when you are using the big screen.

CONS
* The bigger screen gets easily damaged if you open your phone too often.
* It's hard to find a good combination of a good screen protector and good case for this foldable phone. You certainly will struggle with at least one of them since they don't perfectly match unless both are from the same brand and usually a single brand will not have a good solution for both needs.
* Camera could be better.

Good product, great screens

I've always liked powerful phones. I multitask for work and for personal use using apps like Slack and Office when collaborating remotely or fantasy sports apps and messaging.

I purchased the Fold4 after three generations of envy. Once the camera and front display caught up, I knew it was my time... And I couldn't be happier.

Let's get the elephant out of the room. The large tablet-like display is one of a kind for multitasking. You can cram many apps in if you're strategic. However, yes, you can see a crease if you really look for it. I've mostly just forgotten about it and it all but disappears when watching videos.

Speaking of videos, the screen isn't really a widescreen device so while the picture is sharp as a tack (and vivid), you will definitely have black bars if that sort of thing bothers you.

The speakers are superb and plenty loud.

The cameras do a great job, but I do wish it had a 10x camera found in the Galaxy series. Still, for what this device is I'm shocked at the camera array on board. Very good with good lighting, even my concert pictures come out great.

If you've been on the fence for a while and have ever used the Fold as your daily driver, I'd highly recommend giving it a shot. It would be hard to me to go backwards!

The Phone I didn't know I needed

I use this phone for gaming and movies on top texting and phone calls. It handles games amazingly well with a great frame rate, even when settings are switched to high on video settings. The sound quality is amazing as well. It's loud enough that I don't even need subtitles. Videos are crisp and clear.
It handles phone calls great except it's a bit hard to hear some people, but that could just be on their end.
I can have 30 apps running and this phone still loads quickly and handles perfectly.

Great phone

I use my phone quite a bit, mainly for streaming and gaming. There's so many features on here but my favorite is probably the things you can do with the s pen and the flex view. The phone speakers are incredible. I've had this phone for a year now and I'm still learning of new things and features it has.

We do a lot of business through our phones so having a bigger surface that folds instead of a flip is so beneficial makes business a breeze. Love the picture and sound quality

Amazing phone, great camera, love the versatility

This is my 3rd fold product. This feels nice and looks nice. The new ui is buggy. Apps crash and make phone unusable. I have factory reset the device twice. I want to go back to android 12. This is awful.

Comfortable

I upgraded to this from the Zflip 3 phone. This one is awesome. Great display and light weight. The memory upgrade is awesome. Great phone. I would continue to but Samsung phones. Never had a problem.

I bought the Zflip thinkingI would give it a shot but not holding any expectations. I have been so impressed! It's super light weight but also durable! The flip design seems thinner and more sleek then last years model and the purple is stunning! The battery's life is my only complaint!

I had the 2 and loved it. It's like a mini computer. Great to watch movies. Great to do Microsoft work. 4 stars because it is a bit heavy. It's fallen off the phone magnetic mount and hit my knee. It was that day I realized how heavy it was. Otherwise, I love the phone and so does my 5 year old.
