The Best Laptop I have Used

I like the screen, keyboard and the performance, however I have no option for a comparison to other currently available laptops. Battery life is as to expect mediocre because of the high resolution, with 3 to 5 hours depending on the workload (second low-res screen attached via hdmi). Unfortunately, the the lid does not close flush, there is an imprecision of about half a millimetre sidewards. Some windows 11 issues like broken wifi connection after having locked the screen are a bit annoying. Else it is a nice sleek laptop which for my GIS data python coding (no multithreading yet) is completely fine. In normal day to day tasks there is no fan noise at all, only under heavy load, which I think is justified. Port selection is great compared to competitors. I would have however loved a less fingerprint-sensitive chassis. Webcam is great though.

P1 Gen 5 Intel 16"

I was looking for an Intel i7 Laptop with 32GB RAM for development. I came across this on the Lenovo site available at a very attractive price with the promised before Black Friday deal. The laptop is super sleek and lightweight. Also, it doesn't have a numeric keypad which makes space for a full-size keyboard. Lenovo keyboards have always been nice and this laptop is no exception. The laptop is pretty snappy and comes with Windows 11 professional. The only thing I am not so happy about is battery life, which could have been better. But overall it's a decent purchase and I am very happy about it.

A beast of a machine with at a decent price point

It does everything it should, and quickly. Lots of built-in security features work well with antivirus software without showing down the processor. Screen is bright and color accurate. It ranks up with the best content creation machines.

Excellent computer but a bit pricy

Good battery life and performance. The screen is very vibrant as well.

New laptop

I love this laptop, it almost has everything I need. Its very well built, light and the display is very clean and crisp. Only thing I had to reconsider was to upgrade to 64-bit of memory model. With what I do every day, working with multiple virtual machines and running multiple applications that are resource hogs, these machines are workhorse support I need.

Solid well-built workhorse

Our firm has several ThinkPad P1's and the Gen 5 model builds on the successes of the Gen 3 and Gen 4 models. It is portable and powerful with a reliable battery life. The screen, which now has a taller ratio, is bright and crisp with good color rendering. In our office, these laptops have ample power to drive three monitors while running 3D BIM software. The keyboard on Gen 5 is better than on Gen 4 in terms of how the keys feel (though Gen 3 has deeper keys than either).

Continued perfection of a great product

Great screen sharp and clear Good quality arrived fast and with my order fits new laptop well.

So much power on the go. Purhcased this to replace my X1C Gen 7 as i needed more power on the go.
4k touchscreen is nice and crisp, and the 3070 ti is great for the 3D rendering i need to do.
Intrestingly battery life isnt bad. On my X1C i would have to set it to balanced power mode - and then i could get about 2 hours of battery life (yes real life uage is very different to what people say the can get if they arent really using it).
On the P1 i am getting 3 hours in the lowest power setting - yet the performace is 2.5x higher than the X1C was at blanced and over 2x the perfomance of the X1 in Best Power (CPU Mark of 16561 vs 16561 and 22894)

Powerful laptop in a lightweight package

The OLED screen is clear and easy to see in all lighting and the computer is extremally fast and able to keep up with anything that I throw at it. The only downside that I have found is that the camera has a hard time adjusting in bright light and I'm sure an update will fix this.

ThinkPad P1 Review

Have been using the P1 laptops for some time. Nothing bad to say about any of them. Love the Keyboard and the amazing display. Charging is a breeze with any USB-C high power source. No need to drag their heavy charger everywhere!
